Lavender Wood Soap
I used to think that I hated lavender. But I've come to realize that what I hate is the way so many fragrances treat lavender- suffocating it with florals or drowning it in vanilla. That's not what lavender should smell like. Lavender isn't bubbly and light and feminine and pastel. Lavender is deep and herbal, earthy and rich. With this fragrance I've chosen to explore the dark side of lavender, starting with a hefty dose of the real thing- lavender essential oil- with accents of sandalwood, cedar, amber resin, and vetiver.
Made with a natural shea butter soap base (with no added detergents) for a soft and moisturizing lather, and topped with a sprinkle of poppy seeds.
